About Me!
My name is Bella Crespo, and I am currently a Senior at Watkinson School. I am a student-athlete who is passionate about learning and making the world a better place. I am a rock climber that competes with Team Central Rock Glastonbury and a bike racer that competes with Team ERRACE and the Central Wheeler Mountain Bike Team. I am also on the selective eight-member Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program cyclocross travel team. Climbing and Biking are big parts of my life, and I dedicate lots of time and effort into training and competing. I compete in bouldering and lead climbing throughout the year. In biking, I race cyclocross, road, and mountain bikes. I gravitate towards these sports because I like the individual aspect. I have a team that can support me, but the feeling of reaching the top of a climb after falling and falling is so empowering and exciting because I know that it was my hard work that got me there. Similarly with biking; Winning a race after giving it your all and training for weeks prior is so rewarding. I also love to sail in the summertime. I sail on Gardner Lake in Maine. I love the feeling of getting lost in the wind and being consumed by the water. You control the boat and you have to learn to read the wind to understand the technique of sail trim. During the winter, I ski in Vermont with my family.
